What to Do if Your Ticket Resale Listing Is Duplicated

Written by Lysted Team | Oct 17, 2024 3:22:55 PM

When you sell concert tickets online, it's important to avoid creating duplicate listings. Duplicate listings on ticket reselling platforms can lead to double selling, which may result in penalties. Lysted helps prevent double selling by notifying you with an error message if your ticket resale listing is duplicated. Here’s more information on what to do if you encounter the duplicate listing error:

Reasons for a Duplicate Listing Error

Lysted provides a safeguard to prevent you from posting tickets if the listing has been duplicated. A red error message will appear, indicating that there is a duplicate listing. If you encounter this error when posting your listing, it means that the same section, row, and seat numbers have already been entered for that concert or event. The error message will specify the identical seating details.

Please confirm that you have not previously created a listing for these tickets. This error could occur if your previous ticket listing was deleted or if you purchased the tickets from another Lysted seller, which can also trigger the duplicate listing error.

When you create a listing to sell concert tickets online, Lysted posts it across two thousand ticket-selling websites to ensure maximum exposure. To prevent double selling, we remove the listing across all websites and apps when the tickets are sold. To further reduce the risk of double selling, avoid posting your tickets on Lysted and another third-party site at the same time. If you decide to sell on Lysted and your tickets are already listed on another website, please remove the listing from that site.

Add a Star and Internal Note

The simplest way to resolve a duplicate listing error on Lysted is to add a star and an internal note to your ticket listing. When creating the listing, add a star after your row in the ticket row section. This will allow the tickets to re-enter the system. Once the tickets have returned, you can add the internal note.

The internal note section is for private notes for yourself and our team. You can use this section to make pricing and seating adjustments by adding specific codes. Click anywhere on the listing, then add the code “@row[your row].” Once the marketplace listing displays the correct row, save your listing by clicking the Save Changes button. Please note that the internal note may take up to ten minutes to display.
